Blue Bloods ...

Last night we had a night off from sports ~ so we took the opportunity to have an early dinner, followed by a newly created game "BaseFoot" in the background, and finally some banana pudding with the family while watching Smallville.
When the kids were tucked safe in their beds ~ Erin and I took some time to watch Blue Bloods.  If you haven't watched this show (CBS 9 pm CDT on Fridays), we highly recommend it.

It is an awesome experience ~ you can feel the love this family has ~ for the City it protects, the God it serves, and for each other.  You can picture a real Irish New York cop family like the Reagans.

Last night, Tom Selleck's character, the New York City Police Commissioner, said something to the Bishop of his church ~ It is just as important to exonerate the falsely accused as it is to catch those who have done wrong.

This sat for a long time in my heart.  As human beings, we are so quick to accuse ~ bring someone to "justice."  And, because of our need to be right, sometimes the wrong people are accused and suffer the consequences of our actions.

Remember to take a moment to apologize, ask for forgiveness, and forgive those who have wrongly accused you.  It is okay to say you misjudged a situation or perception.

You just might learn from your experience ...
